This section of the wesite will be divided up into categories much like any cookbook.  Click on the "Recipes" tab above or the highlighted categories here to choose which chapter you would like to search.  The categories are: Appetizers, Breads, Breakfast, Salads, Side Dishes, Soups & Stews, Entrees, Condiments, Desserts, Pies, Tarts & Crusts, Cakes & Coffeecakes, Frostings & Fillings, Dessert Loaves, Cookies, Slovak Foods, Indian Food, Beverages & Drinks, Guatemalan Food, Canning and Preserving.

I have amassed huge quantities of recipes over the many years I have been cooking, baking and trying new things. I have a large selection of cookbooks, as well as cooking magazines, specialty magazines, small grocery check-out line booklets, and literally hundreds of loose sheets printed from sites online. I love to experiment and try new recipes. It's rare for me to make a recipe just as it says, even the first time through. Sometimes I find a recipe to be just too unwieldy, as it is written, so I pare down the instructions to more easily follow the directions. At other times I just like a certain ingredient more than something called for and make a substitution. I am an experienced cook, so I have a good idea where and when this can be done with impunity. If you are new to cooking, please first try a recipe the way it is written, until you have a better feel for what could happen otherwise.

This wonderful pie came about by combining three separate recipes: Chocolate Pie Pastry (in Pies, Tarts & Crusts), Chocolate Mousse (in Desserts) and Mascarpone Whipped Cream (in Frostings & Fillings). For any chocoholic, this is a dream. The chocolate pastry makes the chocolate flavor complete, the mousse is silky smooth and takes barely more than 5 minutes to make and the mascarpone whipped cream means the whipped cream will not go soggy in the fridge.
